The system that has brought the most snow Ontario has seen in weeks will have largely tracked out of the region by Sunday morning, but lake-effect snow continues into Sunday morning. Stiff winds will also make for blowing snow, making travel still somewhat fraught even once the system is done. What to expect for the second half of the weekend, below.

SUNDAY: SYSTEM SNOW WINDS DOWN, LAKE-EFFECT FIRES UP
Saturday was a rough one for anyone who needed to be on the road in southern Ontario, and the overnight hours were rough for people tackling the task of shovelling, at least for parts of the southwest, where a brief switchover to light rain made for a heavier task.
And though the majority of the storm will have cleared out of the region before dawn on Sunday, that doesn't mark an end to the snow for everyone.
While flurries will certainly linger through eastern Ontario, including Ottawa into Sunday morning, the snow story for Sunday comes courtesy of blustery winds and lake-effect snow.
The lake-effect snow will be most likely southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Aside from the additional accumulations, travel will still be slightly difficult due to winds gusting behind the low, particularly for Prince Edward County, and could create reduced visibility in areas of blowing snow.

Arctic air sinks back into the region for the start of the new workweek, meaning much of the region will be holding onto that fresh snow for at least the first half of the week.
Temperatures will recover somewhat for the second half of the week, however. The recovery will be modest, but there's a good chance most parts of the south may see daytime highs slightly exceed zero into the weekend.
