Temperatures are soaring well above average and that trend is set to continue right through this first weekend of November as well.

Daytime high temperatures will hit the mid-teens, with some cities even pushing 20°C by Saturday -- a near guarantee for some daily temperature records to be broken.

These temperatures are a far cry from November's monthly average, which for the city of Toronto, sits at just 7.8°C!

It's not just the mild temperatures that are unusual for this time of year either. From now until the middle of next week, precipitation will be meager to say the least.

In a typical November, 66 mm of rain usually falls.

Hard to feel festive with this heat?

For some, November 1 is an automatic switch into the holiday season, quickly taking down the Halloween decor in replacement of Christmas trees and sparkling outdoor lights. But, with temperatures soaring near the 20-degree mark, it's likely leaving many feeling anything but Christmasy.

Regardless, you may want to take advantage of the warmer weather while you can, even if you leave those lights turned off for now.

The milder pattern will hang on through early next week, but the second half of the month is expected to turn much colder. We're uncertain as to exactly how quickly this pattern change will unfold, but once the colder pattern settles in, we expect it will persist through early December.
